Hi Amanda!

Sorry I have not posted in forever. So I weighed in on Wednesday and I was back up, to 166.2 :-( Today marks the one year mark to my wedding, so I need to start losing!

Today I ate:

1 Kashi Pumpkin Spice Granola Bar (You are right, those are so good!)
1 Michelinas Lasagna frozen meal
1 bowl of chicken noodle soup from panera

I am going to eat a salad with chicken for dinner. I have never tried the lighter peanut butter before, but I will avoid it now! Have you ever tried almond butter? I have not but have heard of people using that.

I am going to join a gym this week near my house, bc I have not been exercising enough!

Yes, definitely catch up on the Jillian show. How did your weigh in go this week? I have not told Kel about the blog yet. We should probably tell her so that she does not get upset. Maybe after she comes back from her honeymoon though, I know she is leaving tomorrow (I am so jealous!) So are you and Chris definitely doing the Biggest Loser Ranch thing this year? If so, when will you go?

I don't think I am coming this summer bc I don't have a job yet, so limited moolah. I totally was thinking that we need to work out together at some point though! I can't wait to see you again at Lady Gaga! That is going to be epic!

Weekend-

Hey Kel!

I had a pretty good weekend, eating-wise. On Saturday I went out to lunch with my friend at Cheeseburger in Paradise and I got the island quesadilla with sweet potato chips- I didn't really calculate the point on it, but I'm guessing it was around 15 points for the meal. I wound up not eating anything the rest of the day, but that night I had a couple of bites of a chocolate chip cookie cake- (Chris and I went to the orchestra and stopped at Naked Chocolate before-hand... a tradition on our night out.)

Yesterday I went to a BBQ at Chris's boss' house and he made steak. I had two small pieces and some rice salad that he made. I also ate some garlic bread toasts and some dip I made with reduced fat sour cream. Last night when I got home I was starving so I had a light english muffin with some peanut butter. (I don't know whether you have ever tried the Better than Peanut Butter, but it's GROSS! I would rather use the points on real peanut butter.)

I cancelled my subscription to Weight Watchers online because I feel as though I'm not using it enough for the $15 a month. I'm going to go to the gym tonight when I get home and tomorrow I have Zumba, followed by Circuit Training and Line Dancing on Wednesday. I agree with the weigh-training. That's where I really start to look good. I need to lift more weights- and start running. I've decided I am going to run a 5 K this September, so I'm going to train for that-

I didn't see Jillian's new show- but now I'm dying too! I will check on Demand and then watch it this week so I'm all caught up. Are you coming out here at all this summer? I would love to see you and maybe we could take some classes together at my gym if you and Kelley want to come stay with me!
PS- have you told Kelley we're doing this together? I'm afraid she might think I'm trying to steal you or something, (sound familiar?)

Hi Amanda,

I can't believe that you teach in 100 degrees! Isn't that illegal or something? ha ha...it should be! It's okay that you gained, it's a new week, you can do it! Yoga sounds delish! I love yoga and pilates! Have you ever tried pilates?

So I lost on Wednesday when I weighed in, I was 162.6. I really did not do that well during the week, I am almost afraid I am just losing more muscle mass, bc of how poorly I ate on the weekend bc my friend was in town. I need to start to lift again. Maybe I can get Chris to go for a long walk with me tonight!

Today I have eaten:

1- 6 point portion of homemade mac and cheese
2- Kashi oatmeal and dark chocolate chip cookies
.5 points worth of jiffy kettle corn flavor popcorn

I am going to be good this weekend!! I would say try, but Jillian says that is planning to fail, ha ha. Did you see her new show this week? I thought it was pretty good. Not as good as the Biggest Loser, but good. I can't believe that Michael won, btw, good for him! I am so glad Koli was knocked off his high horse, ha ha. He did still win a lot of cash though!

A Good Couple of Days

So I weighed in this morning and I weighed-in at 173.5- So I'm up .2- Oh well!

I had a couple of good days- I find if I keep myself busier during the night I don't eat as much! I was going to work out tonight, but being in my classroom at 100 degrees all day made me feel like crap by the time I got home- I was so lethargic, I could hardly pick up Lily, so I didn't go to the gym- I went out and ran some much-needed errands though.

Tomorrow I start fresh again. I am going to try and hit up yoga tomorrow night at the gym if I can drag myself there after what they are calling "the hottest day of the year so far!"

Hi Amanda,

I did terrible this weekend as well. My friend was in town, and I tried by eating salads and stuff, but we drank at night, and ate a lot of junk food. I have been doing well today though, and hopefully I will still lose on Wednesday.

We should just both be so good for the rest of the week! I am going to go for a run tomorrow for sure. Tonight, I am going to the ball game (I think I might just have 1 hotdog there for dinner and call it 7 points), so I will do some crunches and planks when I come home.

It is a new, fresh week, and I know that we can do it! Great job on the workout, I agree, being sore is a good sign!

Have you ever seen the Lady Gaga/Beyonce Telephone music video? It is awesome! It makes we want to lose weight bc they are so sassy and hot in that video! ha ha

Ugh Weekend

Hey Kel-

I had a pissy weekend. I tried really hard, but I lost it last night and had two hotdogs- AND a cheeseburger. It will take forever for me to write what I had this weekend, so I'm just going to say I DIDN'T do good. I am starting fresh for tomorrow though- I already stopped at Chick Fil A to get a salad for lunch tomorrow. It comes with croutons and sunflower seeds, but I think I won't put those on.

How was your weekend? I'm not exercising tomorrow, but I am going to exercise hard core on Wednesday again with some Circuit Cardio and Line Dancing. Do you know that I was sore for like 4 days after that class? I figure that's a GOOD sign.

well----hope your weekend was better than mine! I'll have to kick my own ass tomorrow to lose weight by Wednesday morning.

Yo yo yo,

Today I had an okay day again. Actually, lunch was not great, but I did try and did fine the rest of the day!

This is what I had:

1 Kashi Cherry Dark Chocolate Bar
1 Jolly Time Butter Flavor Popcorn Bag
1 Chicken Salad Sandwich on wheat bread (I regretted this one!)
1 snow cone with poprocks on it (I also regretted this)
3 mangos
1 BBQ chicken salad from Chilis with the dressing on the side

For exercise, I went swimming. I need to do something more intense soon though. Which will probably happen Tuesday since I have a friend coming in from out of town to stay with me this weekend. This weekend is going to be tough with my friend here, I am going to try to stay on track though. We are going drinking one night, but maybe I will just have 1 drink.

Hi!!!

Hi Amanda!!!!!!!!!!

I think you have been doing well eating wise!!! Great job on the exercise too, that is two days in a row! It is great that you are doing both strength training and cardio. I am sure you will be whipping through the strength training in no time.

Today I had this to eat:

1 "you pick two" from Panera with the Greek salad with the dressing on the side and the chicken noodle soup. I also had 1/2 of the roll that comes with the soup and a 2 bites of a toffee cookie.

A vanilla cone from McDonalds

2 Kashi TLC Cherry Dark Chocolate Bars

1 Bag Jolly Time Popcorn Butter Flavor - the high fiber one

Grille Snapper with no butter, but a bit of olive oil in with veggies

1 Piece of bread

Side Salad with the dressing on the side.


I did not calculate exact points, I am looking for my weight watchers book and points calculator. Hopefully I will find them tomorrow. I went over, but at least I am eating much better than I have been! It is a start.

I did not exercise :-( I did do some heavy duty cleaning though, I think I burned some doing that!

Okay so I had an ALRIGHT day-

Breakfast- 1 Chexmix turtle granola bar- 2 points
mid morning- pack of twizzlers- 4 points
Lunch- Olive Garden salad (2 servings) 1 bowl chicken soup and 1 bowl minestrone- 10
1 breadstick from Olive Garden- 3 points
Dinner- One Bowl of Ramen Noodle soup w/ 3 ritz crackers- 3 points
Drinks- Stupid me... I had a coke AND a can of Sprite- I need to get the soda out of my house- 6 points total! (dumb,dumb, dumb)

That makes my total = 28 points- I had to use 2 of my weekly points....

I actually did exercise today because I walked all over Sesame Place with Lily and my aunt and I'd guess I walked at least 3 miles... but that wasn't high intensity. I am really sore from that cardio weight circuit I did last night- I'm going to do that every Wednesday- I was literally worn out after 1 rotation-

Amanda's Starting Weight---

Hey Kelly!

Here is my starting weight!
173.4

According to Weight Watchers I was given 24 points a day! I've already lost my 5 and 10%, but I've set my new weight goal at 140 pounds.

Starting tomorrow, let's try to enter everything we eat! Tonight I am hitting up the gym and I'm taking a class that is a Cardio Circuit for an hour, and then I'm going to a 1 hour and 45 minute Line Dancing class! (Not so sure the later is going to help me lose weight... but it sounds fun!)
